Dr. Michael K. Campbell brings a wealth of experience to the dental team at OC Plaza Dentistry. He is extremely precise and a perfectionist and this can clearly be seen in the results he achieves. Providing high quality care along with a warm and friendly demeanor comes naturally to Dr. Michael Campbell. Dr. Michael K. Campbell began his education by attending and graduating from the University of California at San Diego with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 1976. He graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1979 at the very young age of 25. He ranked second in his class with the number of patients he treated for root canal infection; giving him a strong background in that special area of care.
While Dr. Michael Campbell was beginning a successful dental career, Dr. Elisa LoBue-Campbell decided to pursue a dental degree and entered the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1981. The doctors came together to open OC Plaza Dentistry in 1986.
In 1990, the doctors were invited by the Siemens Corporation to travel to the University of Zurich, Switzerland, to study porcelain and Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Milling (CAD/CAM) Dentistry. While abroad they trained in advanced bonding techniques and purchased Cerec I. Today they have Cerec 3D. Dr. Michael Campbell is second to only one other dentist on the west coast with his abilities and experience in this technology. The Cerec Machine photographs your tooth and mills the porcelain crown in one short appointment. It provides more strength and beauty than previous techniques. Dr. Michael Campbell has served as a mentor to other dentists on the Cerec, CAD/CAM technology since 1991. Additionally, they belong to the International Academy of Computerized Dentists which meets on a yearly basis.

You are also in extremely talented hands with Dr. Elisa LoBue-Campbell. She is an artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. She also received a certificate in Bio-Medical Illustration from California State University at Long Beach. Dr. Elisa LoBue-Campbell began her career as a medical illustrator. She illustrated a surgical book for renowned cardiac surgeon, Dr. Carpentier with American Hospital Supply-Edwards, as well as a KOCE, Channel 50, Biology series. Additionally, she designed the UCI Burn Center logo and worked with President Kennedy’s physician, Dr. Janet Travell, illustrating a book on referred pain treatment.
Elisa LoBue-Campbell, D.D.S. graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, in San Francisco, in 1984. She was a member of the Honor Society reserved for those graduating in the top 10 % of their class. In 1984, she was named Woman Dentist of the year at the University of the Pacific.
Dr. Elisa LoBue-Campbell is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, The Orange County Dental Society, the International Academy of Computerized Dentistry and the Association of Women Dentists. In 2007, she was voted by her dental peers as one of the top 100 Dentists in Orange County and listed in Coast Magazine as such.
Dr. Elisa has also received advanced training in Cosmetic Dentistry. In 1999, she attended a one-year residency program with Dr. Bruce Crispin and Esthetic Professionals. Dr. Crispin has been an educator for 23 years at UCLA’S Esthetic Dentistry Center. Dr. Elisa is fortunate to have Dr. Crispin as her professional mentor. In 2005 she studied TMJ syndrome and occlusion in another year residency program with Dr. Crispin and Esthetic Professionals. Currently all esthetic cases at OC Plaza Dentistry are submitted to Dr. Crispin’s dental lab and he personally discusses cases with her. Dr. Elisa and her dental team at OC Plaza Dentistry are constantly updating themselves on all the latest dental procedures, materials and techniques. The combination of her advanced training in Cosmetic Dentistry and her obvious artistic talent translates into great dentistry and beautiful smiles.
As an experienced team, Dr. Michael Campbell is the dental engineer and Dr. Elisa LoBue-Campbell is the dental artist. Together they create strong, well designed, beautiful smiles.
